Brinton Farrand graduated from Carmel High School, Carmel, Indiana. he received a teaching degree from Purdue University and a Master’s in Art Education from DePauw University. He taught High School Art and Photography in Mooresville, Indiana. In 20011, Farrand was the recipient of a Lilly Foundation Teacher’s grant, studying classical realism at Studio Escalier in France for three months with Timothy Stotz and Michelle Tully. After retiring in 2014, he studied painting at Herron Art School in Indianapolis with Professor Marc Jacobson and independently with artist David Slonim. He continually expands his skills through classes and experimenting with different styles and is currently influenced by graffiti and tattoo artists. He is also currently working on a series of surrealistic paintings to take to Miami for Art Basel/Spectrum in December. You can view more of his work at farrandfineart.com
